Special Task Force
The Special Task Force, West Bengal (STF WB) is an elite, specialized wing of the West Bengal Police constituted vide Notification No. 2809-PL/PB/14M-162/19 dated 09/09/2019 to combat specialized state and national-level security threats. Empowered with state-wide investigative jurisdiction, the STF functions as a premier agency tasked with neutralizing high-level organized syndicates, terrorism, network radicalization, fake Indian currency distribution loops, illegal weaponry manufacturing corridors, and trans-border crimes across the state.
